When it comes to getting certified, a little bit of work can go a long way, especially if you’re already working in your field. There are plenty of beauty-related certifications available today.

According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, cosmetologists and barbers earn an average wage of $16.20 an hour. Those who become licensed beauticians can expect to earn about $21.30 an hour. Make sure you choose a certification that will pay well but also gives you access to a network of peers and career advice as well.

Not Having A Certification Does Not Equal A Trash Product 

A good brand isn’t just about making products or offering services, but about how you present yourself and how you interact with people. What I Use On The Daily

However, there are many other options available. For example, the American Board of Massage Therapy provides certification in the following subspecialties: Bodywork, Cranial-Sacral, Sports, and Pediatric.

These certifications are good for the aspiring professional, and many employers prefer candidates who have one or more certifications.
